Hi ! This is Vikti on the line..
Welcome to my adventures! I’m just a tech enthusiast at Goldman Sachs, diving into the cool mix of tech and finance. Let's chat and swap stories about our journeys!
Places where I fueled my brainpower

Rutgers, my transformative haven! Here, I unraveled the power of hard work and the art of self-branding, all while falling head over heels for the world of computers. It wasn't just about classes; Rutgers prepared me to face the world. And oh, the sweet victory—I landed my very first paycheck as a web developer right here! Cheers to Rutgers, where dreams were crafted and paychecks began to tell tales of passion and persistence. 🌟

Mumbai University, oh what a ride! Beyond mastering electronics, I picked up life's essentials: networking like a pro, influencing with a smile, and always staying in the loop. And guess what? In the midst of it all, I found not just circuits but love—I met my now-husband here! So here's to Mumbai U, where learning electronics was just the beginning of life's awesome adventures!
Places where I brought ideas to life

I've been tinkering around in Marcus Platform Solutions SMB Lending, focusing on the nitty-gritty of our microservice engine. Using tools like Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Kafka, we're navigating the world of loan decisions.
Working alongside teams from Product, Credit, Legal, and more, I help create smooth onboarding experiences. When things get a bit tangled, I'm the one diving into tools like Splunk and Datadog to sort things out for our customers.
In a past life, I did my thing in E-Trading, managing risks and keeping things compliant. Led a team looking into credit and rate-related risks, and cooked up a project for a dashboard using Slang, ReactJS, and DB2.
And hey, I'm into that Agile vibe and DevOps magic – keeps our projects chugging along nicely! 🛠️

I've been up to some tech adventures—playing with REST APIs using Spring Boot for Infrastructure tasks. At Nomura, I led a project to jazz up Cloud infrastructure monitoring with Spring Boot. Explored OpenTSDB for storing server metrics efficiently and made data dance in real-time with Apache Kafka. Built user-friendly interfaces with Angular 6 and Material Design vibes, threw in some Ansible magic for automation, and had a bit of fun with big-data, storing info smartly and poking around with Apache Drill. 🚀
-
Ventured into the world of ADP's accounting product, navigating the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express, React.js, and Node.js. Wore the developer hat, crafted features with Express and ReactJS, and neatly packaged everything with Webpack. Fine-tuned NoSQL database schemas for that extra finesse. 🚀
-
Dove into the tech toolbox for nearly the first time, employing Apache for servers, MySQL for databases, and the classic combo of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Played the role of a digital handyman, creating, updating, maintaining, and debugging websites for both staff and students.
Took automation to the next level by scheduling cron-tasks, ensuring seamless form submissions even in the face of server hiccups. This little trick boosted student participation in events by a solid 31.33%. Also, kept things up-to-date by rolling out upgrades to PHP and MySQL versions and making corresponding changes across all websites. 🌐✨
Unwinding in my own vibe: catching waves and spinning tunes
Things that have my heart include, but not limited to :) <3 -
Dancing
Dancing is my go-to groove—it's not just a hobby, it's my happy place! It's like this magical escape from reality, where I get to be all sorts of versions of myself. Super cathartic, you know?
Civic Engagement
Always thrilled to be part of community adventures! Whether it's supporting local causes or just being there to lend a helping hand, I'm all in. I aspire to make a real impact by actively engaging with communities.
Being Creative
Be it writing an article or crocheting a handbag, I consider any creative art as a form of self-expression. I have always loved creative arts like painting, embroidery and crochet.
Delicate threads weave intricate tales, and the rhythmic click of crochet needles creates a warm embrace of creativity which intrigues me ! I will be excited to share some pieces I have made soon.
Check out my Blogosphere
I've always been passionate about writing, so much so that my parents often told me to consider taking up journalism or literature as a career :) But staying consistent at it has been a challenge. Good news, though—my New Year's resolution is to write more often about the things I deeply care about and the thoughts that frequently cross my mind.
Below are a couple of articles / blogs that I have written over the years as a child until adulthood hit. Hoping to add many more :)
